Alastair was a Partner in Davis Langdon, the world’s largest construction consultancy, from 1980 to 2008.
He served a ten year term (from 1998 to 2008) on its Global Board and was its Chief Executive from 2003 to 2008.
Amongst its other achievements, Davis Langdon won the award of ‘Top International Construction Consultant’ for 15 consecutive years, establishing its brand leadership as a professional services provider.
As a Consultant to Davis Langdon (from May 2008 to April 2009) he developed the business plan for global growth of the firm’s Legal Support specialism; providing expert witness reports and testimony (quantum and delay) to the legal advisors to parties in dispute under mega construction contracts.
From 2003 to 2007 he chaired the British Council for Offices Tall Buildings Working Group, strategic publications of which included:
