Alberto Lago is a researcher for CTBUH office in Venice at the IAUV University of Venice, Italy.

His background is in Architectural/Engineering with a bachelor/master degree from the University of Padua. He additionally completed a master in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles.

In 2011 he obtained a PhD in Seismic/Structural engineering with a thesis entitled “Seismic Design of Structures with Passive Energy Dissipation Systems.” The research focus was on the design of distributed damping devices (mainly viscous and viscoelastic dampers) for structure of different height, as well as, with irregular geometries and double skin façade.
