About
With more than 20 years of professional experience, Andrew has worked on a range of building types around the world, managing the process from initial site feasibility studies through all phases of design development and delivery. Since joining KPF in 1997, Andrew has cultivated particular expertise in the technical coordination of complex, full-service projects.
Key to Andrew’s management approach is technical integration at the onset of concept design. As one of the first team members for One Vanderbilt, Andrew has overseen the coordination and development of a complex building that is set to become the tallest office tower in midtown Manhattan. With a focus on innovation in project delivery and collaboration across design and construction teams, Andrew developed a series of custom parametric tools that advance the seamless integration of individual teams.
Also in New York, Andrew was involved in the design and construction of 745 Seventh Avenue, an office tower in Times Square for Morgan Stanley, and Court Square Two, an office tower in Long Island City for Citigroup. Leveraging the specialized zoning and code-related experience he has developed in realizing these projects, Andrew regularly assists developers in analyzing the feasibility of potential sites throughout the city.
As technical coordinator, Andrew has navigated some of the firm’s most formidable endeavors, leveraging his technical knowledge across commercial, residential, and institutional sectors to negotiate the challenges of complex, large-scale buildings. Andrew’s healthcare experience includes the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHoP), ranked the number one children’s hospital in the U.S. by US News and World Report. As technical coordinator, Andrew expertly navigated the largest facilities expansion ever undertaken at CHoP.
Andrew is an active member of the architectural community, joining reviews at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design and at Ohio State University. He was a guest speaker at the AIA’s national convention and for the NYU Real Estate Program. He also participated in New York City’s Building Resiliency Task Force, defining new building code initiatives in the wake of Superstorm Sandy.
