Andrew Cortese is the Managing Partner in Grimshaw's Sydney studio, having joined Grimshaw as a Partner in 2009 and he is jointly responsible for leading Grimshaw’s Australian operations. After two decades in practice, his expertise is currently focused on the initiation of urban master planning at various scales. Included in this is the urban framework for Central to Eveleigh, and the architecture of significant state projects revolving around transport and infrastructure. His on-going contribution to science and learning includes the award-winning laboratories at the University of New South Wales, and New South Wales’ first vertical high school in Parramatta.
Cortese's other areas of expertise include mixed-use tall buildings, cultural facilities, multi-unit housing, and industrial design urban componentry, including Sydney’s CBD and South East Light Rail. Each of his projects strives…
