Austin joined the practice in 1993 after studying at the University of Edinburgh, initially working on Imperial College London.
He led the delivery of the Sage Gateshead before relocating to Abu Dhabi in 2008 where he now manages the regional office. Having overseen the construction of Masdar Institute, he is currently working on Expo Mobility Pavilion 2020 in Dubai and also on several mixed use towers on Reem Island, Abu Dhabi.
