In 2021, Fisher Marantz Stone celebrates 50 years of excellence in lighting design, successfully illuminating 5000 projects with 150 architects on five continents, receiving 200 awards. Charles joined the firm in 1983 and became President in 2003. FMS have designed award-winning iconic lighting projects including Carnegie Hall, the Washington Monument, the Tribute in Light, The National African American Museum of History and Culture, the Hong Kong Airport, the Vancouver Waterfront, the Burj Kalifa, and the Shanghai Bund. Charles serves on Project Candle at Penn State University, and the Advisory Board for the Architectural Lighting program at Oregon State University. His educational and entertaining “Traveling Light” series of ten lectures and workshops exploring light and culture has visited 25 nations, continuing virtually during the pandemic with Podcasts and Webinars.
