Dr. Xiao, graduated from Tsinghua University, is now the Research Fellow, Ph.D. Supervisor, and Vice-Chief Engineer of China Academy of Building Research (CABR). He has been engaged in design, research, and consulting on super high-rise buildings for over twenty years. Several engineering consulting and experimental projects led by Dr. Xiao include the 632-m Shanghai Tower, 660-m Shenzhen Ping’an Center, 606-m Wuhan Greenland Center, and 528-m Beijing Z15 Tower. In addition, Dr. Xiao is also in charge of numerous national research programs, focusing on innovative design philosophies and optimization of tall buildings.
