Emre Toprak is a senior structural engineer at Arup’s Istanbul office. Since joining Arup, Emre has worked on a wide range of projects including new design buildings and portfolios of existing structures in Istanbul and Amsterdam offices. He performed earthquake engineering, seismic evaluation, strengthening of existing buildings and critical facilities using state-of-the-art techniques. Toprak also practices and supports the development of REDi Rating System which provides owners, architects, and engineers a framework for implementing “resilience-based design/assessment”, a risk verification approach and business continuity planning in terms of downtime.
Toprak also leads a multi-disciplinary team to support implementing data-driven design culture and machine learning techniques.
