Full Professor of 'Reinforced Concrete and Prestressed Concrete Structures' at the Civil Engineering Faculty of Politecnico di Milano, Italy. Licensed practice professional in Italy since 1971. In 2007 he founded ECSD S.r.l., an engineering consultancy office, of which he is the Owner and CEO. His research and design activity focus on the effects of the long-term behavior of concrete in complex structures and on conceptual design, mostly of tall building. He is the structural designer of Palazzo Lombardia in Milan (161.3m tall), the New Torre Regione Piemonte Headquarters (207m tall) in Turin and the Isozaki Tower (207m tall) in Milan.
