Gerard Peet (1952) graduated in 1982 as a civil engineer (MSc) at the Delft University of Technology. His field of expertise, both in terms of teaching and of research, focuses primarily on the history of urban planning and development and on the history of skyscrapers. He is still active as a lecturer at this University. Gerard Peet wrote several books. Two of these are about the history of urban planning and development of two streets in Rotterdam. He is currently working on a book with the working title “Skyscrapers – a complementary history”.
