Ian is Construction Director at AECOM / Tishman Construction Services, leading a team of project and construction managers undertaking preconstruction and construction delivery roles across numerous contract types and market sectors, from prime residential to mixed use high rise towers for a range of leading clients. His focus is London, but also assists on international tall building projects.

Ian has extensive experience in successfully delivering complex building projects in Australia, Europe and the UK, covering diverse sectors such as new build super-prime residential to refurbished listed buildings and retained façade projects, iconic commercial offices, major sports venues to mixed-use tall building projects.

His particular expertise is in preconstruction and construction on complex, sector-leading projects, such as the ‘Jewel in the Crown’ of One Hyde, Penthouse C, Validation Team Leader on the Parkview Battersea Power Station scheme, preconstruction advice for 122 Leadenhall, working on the completion of Renzo Piano’s 1st Sydney high rise Aurora Place, numerous Sydney harbour-front bespoke residences and the Gold Precinct of the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

Most recently, Ian is leading the preconstruction for a 45 story mixed use tower near Broadgate, a listed retained façade development in Kensington, early advice on an 80 story residential tower in London and Design & Build of 120 New York Loft style apartments in London’s trendy Shoreditch.

He was recently awarded Doctor of Engineering (EngD) in Innovation in Tall Buildings from Loughborough University. Ian has published several tall building papers in the UK, USA and Switzerland and presented at tall building conferences. He is the inventor of The Lifting Wing, an aerodynamic lifting aid allowing tower cranes to operate safely in up to double the wind speed.
