Inkai Mu has more than 20 years of experience in architectural design and project management. Since joining KPF in 1999, he has worked on a variety of project types in the United States and Asia, including residential, office, hotel, and mixed-use developments. As a Principal of the firm, he plays a key role in KPF’s projects throughout China and the surrounding region.

Inkai recently managed the design of Ping An International Finance Center in Shenzhen, which will be one of the tallest supertowers in the world. His project leadership was also important for China Central Place, a mixed-use development in Beijing and for China Huaneng Group Headquarters, for one of China’s largest companies.

Also in China, he managed the Harbin Bank Headquarters in Harbin and a Park Hyatt Hotel in Hangzhou, which occupies a particularly intricate site with historic, urban, and natural landscaping conditions. His management skills were particularly useful in ensuring the building’s contextual relationship to the characteristics of the city. Inkai’s strong ability to be thorough and diligent in his project management has led many of KPF’s projects to meet and exceed our clients’ standards with regard to deadlines and quality of delivery.

A registered architect in New York and New Jersey, Inkai is an active member of the AIA.
