James W. Fortune has 40+ years of vertical transportation experience. His reputation as the world’s foremost expert in supertall towers was earned as a result of his consulting on Taipei 101, the IFC and ICC Towers, and the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa Tower. Fortune was recently commissioned for the world’s next supertall, the 250 Story, 1001m high, Kingdom Tower, presently under construction, Jeddah, KSA. Fortune invented the “Lifeboat” Emergency Elevator Evacuation Operations"" for use in supertall towers.
Fortune has a B.S. Degree in Industrial Technology from California Polytechnic State University (CAL POLY), San Luis Obispo, and a MBA from the University of Denver.
