An architect by training and practice, Mr. Clawson’s career is characterized by involvement in the interdisciplinary aspects of buildings, particularly the design and construction of tall buildings. Those interests and skills are utilized at Aon Fire Protection in assisting clients resolve problems with egress, passive and active fire protection, and code issues, including accessibility compliance; for projects which have included the United States, the Middle East, Asia, and South America.
He is the Chairman of the Chicago Committee on High Rise Buildings, and previously served as Vice Chairman, Secretary, and Program Director of that organization. In 2005 he co-chaired and organized a full day seminar (held at the Sears Tower in Chicago) on recent developments in high rise fire and life safety.
