Dr. Leong was a Senior Scientist before he assumed the appointment as Head of the Industry Development Office at the Institute of Materials Research and Engineering (IMRE), A*STAR in November 2018. In the current role, Dr. Leong leads the development and implementation of industry engagement and commercialization strategies in IMRE. He is passionate in the circular economy and has been leading initiatives to develop sustainable solutions related to biodegradable flexible packaging and green building. He has a background in polymer composites and holds 16 patents and know-hows in this field.
