About

Since joining Heatherwick Studio in 2006, Mat has been responsible for some of the studio’s most important projects, including Pacific Place in Hong Kong; a public park in Abu Dhabi, the design for 1 million sqm mixed use development in Leeds and a biofuel power station on Teesside, among others.

As Group Leader Mat currently oversees a portfolio of global projects. These include Zeitz MOCAA the re-invention of an historic grain silo in Cape Town into a major cultural institution; a residential tower in Singapore; Maggie’s Cancer Care centre in Leeds; and a mixed use urban development in Tokyo.
