Matthias Olt is a principal in architecture and studio leader of the high-rise residential and mixed-use portfolio at IBI Group in Seattle, USA. He is an experienced design leader, biophilic and sustainable design expert, TEDx speaker, and author with 30 years of professional expertise. A registered architect with an undergraduate degree in material science, Olt has led the design of several tall, high-profile mixed-use commercial office and residential buildings of up to 275 meters. His expertise in mass timber design earned him a Seattle AIA Honor Award for an innovative mass timber high-rise building. In 2022, his design of unTower received an Innovation by Design award from Fast Company.
