Burak Yilmaz founded MBY Engineering in Turkey in 2012. His field of specialty is the detailed design, and in particular, the performance-based design of mega structures, non-building structures, building envelopes, and tall buildings. He partakes in various projects in Europe, Middle East, U.S., and Africa.
Yilmaz received his Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering in 2006, and his Masters of Science in Earthquake Engineering in 2008 from Istanbul Technical University. His PhD is on dynamic shear amplification phenomenon of core walls which is directly related with nonlinear seismic behavior of tall buildings. He is a registered professional engineer in New York State. He is an ASCE Member and has affiliation with other organizations such as Structural Engineering Institute.
