Patrick Bayard was the Research and Working Group Manager at the Council on Tall Building and Urban Habitat. He was responsible for coordinating the research activities of the CTBUH and staffing the Research, Academic and Postgraduate Working Group. He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics, American Studies and Political Science from Hofstra University and Master’s Degrees in Public Management from Saint Thomas University in Florida, and Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Mr. Bayard was also an adjunct professor of public administration at the Illinois Institute of Technology. Prior to joining the CTBUH, Mr. Bayard served as a Program Officer for the Grand Victoria Foundation, Manager of Community Investment at the Sara Lee Foundation and an Associate Program Officer for The Chicago Community Trust. In addition, Mr. Bayard has worked as a Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Officer for the northern Illinois region at the former Bank One Corporation and began his career as a Senior Associate of Resource Management at the United Way of Miami Dade County.

Mr. Bayard provides management and fund development consulting to various for-profit, nonprofit, and start-up organizations which has included Breaking Ground, Color Me Peace Children’s Apparel, and Voices of Culture. Mr. Bayard has served on the steering committees of The Chicago Capacity Building Initiative (CCBI), The Chicago South Side Partnership, and Chicago African Americans in Philanthropy (CAAIP); the Board of Directors of the Enterprising Kitchen, Neighborhood Housing Services in North Lawndale, and FaithCorp Fund; and as President of the Board of Hope Community Services. He has presented at the 2005 University of Illinois at Chicago Winter Forum, the Illinois Institute of Technology 2006 MPA Spring Reception and the 2009 Illinois Resource Network Conference in Chicago. Mr. Bayard has also been a contributor to the sports themed web blog Bleacher Report.
