With over 24 years’ experience on a wide range of complex, high-profile and award-winning projects, including Shanghai Tower, Manila’s Finance Centre Tower and 333 North Green and Shirley Ryan Ability Lab in Chicago – Sasha strives to design beautiful places—ones that are inspirational for life and work and that impact people and communities for the better. Serving as Design Partner, Studio Director and Regional Director of Practice’s at the global design firm Gensler, Sasha is working with his teams to deliver innovative solutions for clients around the world through his continued passion for excellence. Always pursuing a high level of craft, performance and experience in his buildings, Sasha’s work is recognized with numerous awards. In 2016 Sasha's work with Gensler team on Shanghai Tower was recognized with 2016 AIA Chicago Distinguished Building Award and in the same year Shanghai Tower won the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat ( CTBUH) Best Tall Building Award Worldwide. These projects have elevated the firm’s national and international profile and are well known for their high level of innovation and quality.

In the professional community, Sasha is a strong contributor to organizations such as United Nations and the International Council for Caring Communities (ICCC). Sasha also served as the Chicago chapter chair of the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) and has authored numerous white papers and presented at conferences worldwide. Currently he is serving at Urban Land Institute (ULI) – Chicago Product Council.

Sasha is graduate from the School of Architecture, University of Belgrade, Serbia, and holds an M.Arch. from the University of Illinois in Chicago where he graduated with high honors.

Sasha has spent two years living in Shanghai China, between 2008-2010.
He is married and lives in Chicago.
