Shinsuke Kato is a professor of Environmental control Engineering at the University of Tokyo, Institute of Industrial Science.
His research interests include wind tunnel experiments on flow & diffusion fields around buildings, development of measuring equipment for environmental research, CFD analysis for turbulent flow in rooms and around buildings, development of new turbulence models, parallel processing of computational fluid dynamics, indoor climate in large enclosures, CFD analysis for smoke movement in a building on fire, ventilation efficiency of indoor space, CFD analysis of urban climate, and evaluation of thermal comfort using numerical thermal mannequin.
