Sokol Huta is Job Captain at Ismael Leyva Architects (ILA) - an international architecture, interior design, and urban planning firm in Manhattan, recognized for its uniquely creative, iconic, practical design, and leadership in the tall building industry.

He holds a Ph.D. in Architecture, Theory and Design from La Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, where he investigated the character of the contemporary Mediterranean city and the role of ex-industrial systems in the regeneration of developing metropolis. He was winner of the Albanian Excellence Scholarship and has presented his findings in conferences in Albania, Italy, Russia, and Taiwan, in addition to participating in research workshops in Greece and Italy.

He was Teaching Assistant for three years in Laboratory of Architecture and Urban Design at La Sapienza where he followed step by step the work of students and gave lectures about architectural best-practices. During this time he was also tutor and part of the organizing committee for international workshops, such as: SURF - Urban Strategies, Networks and Forms of Sustainable Mobility, in cooperation with École Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture Paris-Malaquais.
