Currently he is leading PT Gistama Intisemesta, a structural engineering consulting firm in Jakarta, Indonesia, as its Principal Director. He also serves as a senior lecturer at the Department of Civil Engineering of Trisakti University, Indonesia. After receiving his Bachelor's Degree in 1985 from Trisakti University, he then obtained his Master’s Degree in 1988 and a Doctor of Philosophy in 2008 from the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Canterbury, New Zealand.

For more than 35 years, he has been handling a wide range of projects, from low-rise to mega-tall buildings in Indonesia and its neighboring countries in South East Asia, as well as Oman, India and Hawaii, USA. These projects have enriched his experience and engineering professionalism, especially in the areas of earthquake engineering and structural dynamics, non-linear analysis, precast concrete structures, assessment and strengthening of reinforced concrete and unreinforced masonry buildings.

He is the co-author of a number of technical papers presented in international conferences and seminars. Some of them have been published in several international journals. Currently he is registered as a professional member of several foreign and local structural engineering associations.
