Sungho Kim has 30 years design experiences in geotechnical and foundation engineering after completion of master degrees in structure and geotechnical engineering at Seoul National University in Korea and Curtin University in Australia respectively. He is a specialist especially in soil-structure interaction design and ground construction technique.
His foundation design lists related to super-highrise building above 100 floors are 151 landmark tower, Lotte Jamsil tower and Lotte Busan Tower in Korea. He has carried out the research on disconnected pile system for Posco in collaboration with Seoul Netional University, which results in the cost effective pile system.
