About

Dr. Wen-Shao Chang is a Lecturer in Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering at University of Bath, he is specialized in timber engineering. Dr. Wen-Shao Chang was awarded his PhD, MSc and BSc degrees from the Department of Architecture at National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan. He has academic backgrounds in both Architecture and Structural Engineering. Before being appointed as a lecturer in Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering at University of Bath, Dr. Chang worked in Taiwan, Japan, and the UK.

Dr. Chang is particularly interested in tall timber buildings, he is specialized in dynamic behavior of tall timber buildings. In order to explore the dynamic properties of tall timber structures, he has led a team to measure wind-induced vibration of tall timber structures in UK, Italy, Austria, Germany and Sweden.
