About Donald Davies

Don Davies is the President of Magnusson Klemencic Associates (MKA). He is active in high-rise projects worldwide, particularly within the U.S., China, and India. He leads MKA’s Hospitality and High-rise Residential work, as well as MKA’s Sustainability Committee.

Don received his Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering in 1987 from Washington State University and his Masters of Science in Structural Engineering in 1990 from the University of California Berkeley. A participant in the United Nations’ Sustainable Buildings and Climate Initiative, Don is also a founding and advisory board member of the Carbon Leadership Forum, an academic/professional collaborative think-tank focused on carbon-reduction strategies in the built environment and is a lifetime member of the Cascadia Green Building Council, an advisory board member to CTBUH.

About Donald Davies

Don received his Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering in 1987 from Washington State University and his Masters of Science in Structural Engineering in 1990 from the University of California Berkeley. A participant in the United Nations’ Sustainable Buildings and Climate Initiative, Don is also a founding and advisory board member of the Carbon Leadership Forum, an academic/professional collaborative think-tank focused on carbon-reduction strategies in the built environment and is a lifetime member of the Cascadia Green Building Council, an advisory board member to CTBUH.

Over his 25-year career, Don has designed buildings up to 105 stories tall, using both traditional and advanced performance-based seismic engineering approaches. Few engineers can match his expertise in the structural design of urban high-rise housing, hospitality, and mixed-use facilities. His projects can be found in more than 31 major U.S. metropolitan centers and 16 countries.
