Ame Engelhart is an accomplished architect and urban designer focused on the design of cities, distrcits, and large, complex architectural projects. Based in Hong Kong since 1993, she has extensive experience in China and Southeast Asia. As the Director of SOM's Hong Kong office, she is responsible for steering the firm's overall strategic objectives and growing regional development in ASEAN/Pacific and PRD markets.

Engelhart brings her architecture and urban design background together to develop holistic plans for urban centers and communities. These projects include a variety of functional typologies, including transit-oriented development, airports, urban growth, new communities, research, and education.
