As a Director and Manager of Cotter Consulting’s Private Sector Buildings Group, Chip focuses on clients in the real estate industry, including markets such as office, hospitality, residential, and retail. He is responsible for developing and managing relationships as well as service delivery for clients in those markets. Chip joined Cotter in 2017, bringing over three decades of experience. Chip began his career in the Construction Management industry as part of the teams that successfully delivered multiple highrise buildings in Chicago before transitioning to the role of Project/Program Manager. Acting in this capacity, or as an Owner’s Representative, Chip has continued advising clients through all phases of projects, from inception through delivery. Although focused locally, these experiences have extended internationally.

Chip earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Purdue University. In 2014 Chip successfully completed the Leadership Programme by the University of Oxford Said Business School. Since 2009, Chip has been an adjunct professor at the Illinois Institute of Technology, where he teaches courses in Project Management to both graduate and undergraduate students in the School of Architecture.
