Charles Arnal is a Senior Associate Director at SAA Architects and a key leader in the firm’s design team. His experience has taken him from France to Beijing, and finally to Singapore where he has spent the last 10 years. He drives the design of numerous competitions and proposals both in Singapore and overseas, working on a diverse range of projects that span mix-used, transit-oriented development, commercial and healthcare typologies.

With his skilful translation of design concepts into architecture, Charles has been instrumental in many of SAA’s projects; these include the Woodlands Health Campus and award-winning St Joseph’s Nursing Home in Singapore, and ten underground rail transit stations in Kuala Lumpur. More recently, Charles led the development of City Gate, a mixed-used building sensitively designed along the edges of a culturally rich heritage district and central urban area in Singapore.
