About
Coming from humble beginnings in Amman, Jordan, Mr. Jamil Jadallah first came to Dubai over 28 years ago, taking a job at the Dubai Municipality as Structural Engineer. With his broad knowledge of the industry and the region, he then joined National Engineering Bureau in 2002. With the firm starting small at no more than 4 members of staff, NEB now employs nearly 500 staff and boasts a large portfolio of projects spanning across the Gulf countries, India, Tanzania and Turkmenistan.
Tagged as on the most Influential People in the Middle East by numerous local and international publications, he believes in investing in his staff, nurturing new talent and continuous innovation.
Having built large sections of some of Dubai’s most sought after areas, Dubai Marina, Jumeirah Lake Towers, Business Bay, NEB continues to push the boundaries having confirmed the build of the skyscraper; Marina 106 which will sit at 445 meters high, making it one of the tallest residential towers in the world. Adding to the already impressive portfolio which includes; Business Central Twin Towers along Sheikh Zayed Road, The Torch Tower, Mag 218, Marina Pinnacle all in Dubai Marina, and the newly open Versace Palazzo Hotel, Marina 101 (425 meters) will be a masterpiece of simplicity in design with post-war Art deco style architecture highlights the innovative design and engineering that’s happening at NEB.
NEB also has the privilege to be working on the final plot in the Dubai Marina area. A significant and somewhat poetic notion considering NEB built and designed most of the Dubai Marina during the downturn of 2008. The firm is currently working on the final plot within this area soon to become the Crowne Plaza Hotel Dubai Marina.
To acknowledge this great accolade presented to the firm, one must also point out the lifespan of NEB; established in 1984, the company has stood the test of time living through the boom that was the Dubai era yet surviving and surpassing expectations during the major recession of 2008. The company still remains under the management of Mr. Jamil as the firm’s Managing Director, who has amassed more than 33 years of practical experience within the world of Engineering and Architecture.
Giving the history of NEB’s presence during the past recession and the current market dip that is predicted for this year, one can be sure to assume that NEB will once again come out the other side. With continuous work coming through the door and more iconic projects to be completed within the coming years, it is looking strong and stable within the NEB offices; but as a token of reassurance, Jamil Jadallah has also been nominated as CEO of the year in 2014, The Power List Most Influential Person in the Middle East and combine that with the huge 11-point surge in the Architecture Rankings to number 46 in the world, everyone must be thinking that the Jamil Jadallah is the real deal.
