Since he joined Nikken Sekkei, Kazushi Obika has participated in overseas competitions including the Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre, Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the main office of the Turkish Economy Bank. Along with being involved in the design of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce building, he was in charge of architectural supervision at the site as well. From 2001 to 2004, he was also in charge of the basic design for the main office of the Turkish Economy Bank. This was followed by the competition and design for the headquarters building
