Lynda Leigh is a Project Executive with Turner Construction. During her 13 years with Turner, she has been involved with a variety of complex projects including the Art Institute of Chicago Modern Wing & the Nichols Bridgeway, the Logan Center at the University of Chicago, and most recently the Willis Tower Repositioning Project. She brings a unique perspective to her construction management role, drawing upon her 10 years of experience working at architecture and engineering firms as a designer.
Lynda received her Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology and subsequently worked at OWP&P (Cannon Design). After two years, she left to pursue her Master’s degree in Civil Engineering in her home state at North Carolina State University. Upon returning to Chicago, she spent two years at Teng & Associates (exp) before joining Holabird & Root. During her six years with Holabird, she became the Department head for the structural engineering group as well as an Associate at the firm.
Lynda retains her Structural Engineering license and takes plays an active role with AISC. She has served on the North American Steel Construction Conference planning committee for several years and has recently been asked to sit on the committee responsible for maintaining the Code of Standard Practice.
