Marc Ibelings was born in the Netherlands in 1961. Since 1988, after his education at Delft University of Technology,he has been active as an architect, first for a few years at the architectural office Van den Broek en Bakema, then a number of years as an architect at Netherlands Airport Consultants.

Since 2000, Marc has been part of Ibelings van Tilburg architecten as one of the principal architects. Over the years, the office realized a wide variety of small and large-scale projects in housing and utility buildings. In addition to new buildings, they have developed a strong reputation in the field of renovation and transformation. One of the projects which combines all these skills is de Karel Doorman in Rotterdam.
