Maria Ramirez was educated at the Architecture School of Universidad de Alcala and Politechnika Gdanska in Poland. She has been a member of the Department of Architecture and the Department of Communication for the Kivuvu NGO, working with building projects in the Congo since 2011. She holds certifications from the University of Geneva in International Organizations Management, also from the Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne in Planning & Design of Sanitation Systems and Technologies, and from MITx in Challenges of Global Poverty.

Maria has built on her technical background by joining HOLEDECK in 2013 as the Managing Director to expand the innovation’s management and internationalization process.
