Matthias Sauerbruch is an architect and founding partner of Sauerbruch Hutton. Further to his work as a practicing architect, he teaches at universities, participates in juries and contributes to conferences around the globe. He held professorships at TU Berlin, ABK Stuttgart and was a visiting professor at Harvard GSD as well as at UdK Berlin. He is a founding member of the German Sustainable Building Council and part of the Executive Board of KW Institute for Contemporary Art Berlin. Matthias Sauerbruch is an Honorary Fellow of the AIA and Director of the Architecture Section of the Berlin Akademie der Künste.
